CAC WAS AWARDED ANOTHER NYSERDA GRANT

The Fenton Conservation Advisory Committee received another $5,000 grant from NYSERDA. The monies will go toward an energy audit at the Town Hall and any recommendations resulting from the audit. The CAC received the grant because over five Town of Fenton residents installed low energy heat pumps in their homes. Thank you to those residents.

BC LANDFILL ELECTRONICS COLLECTIONS SCHEDULED

In September/October the Broome County Landfill have three (3) regional electronics collections scheduled.  The locations and dates are listed below.  All collections will be held from 9 am to 1 pm. Collections are open to Broome County residents only.  No businesses may participate.

Electronics accepted as part of this program are televisions, monitors, computers, laptops, printers, fax machines, cell phones, radios, stereos (no speakers), VCRs, GPS units, and gaming consoles.

Electronics NOT accepted as part of the program include countertop appliances, microwaves, answering machines, large appliances, vacuums, dehumidifiers, air conditioners, freezers, refrigerators, and humidifiers.

September 9th: Village of Windsor, Klump Park
September 23rd: Village of Endicott, Municipal Lot-Madison Avenue
October 7th: Town of Chenango/Broome County, Park and Ride Lot-12A

CHENANGO STREET SIDEWALK PROJECT HAS STARTED

The Chenango Street Sidewalk project in the Town of Fenton will begin on Monday, April 10, 2023. It will be started in the area of Chenango and Fenton Streets.
More information will be available soon in a Press Release provided by Broome County. UPDATE: This project has been started and is on schedule!
