PORT CRANE FENTON SENIORS

Companionship, fun, information, good food, get it all when you join the Port Crane Fenton Seniors.

The meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of the month at the Fenton Town Hall, in Port Crane, except for June, July and August, when we meet at a local park, weather permitting.  We start at 11:30 AM with a business meeting followed at 12 noon with a covered dish lunch. Everyone brings a dish to share, and their own table service with coffee or tea provided for a small donation. Each month 3 or 4 people volunteer to provide dessert, we often share recipes, and act as hosts or hostesses for set up and clean up, an easy task.

Following lunch a program is provided such as paper snowflakes with designs of most anything imaginable, Rick Marsi on local birds, all about lighthouses, different kinds of music, information on a Living Will and Health Proxy, bingo, or a game day. Something for everyone. We try to do a variety and consider all suggestions.

Bus trips are planned throughout the year, in November we went to the Lancaster area for a Christmas Music show at the Living Waters Theater and on March 10th the group went to see the play “Joseph” at the Sight & Sound Theater with a stop at Shady Maple Restaurant for some scrumptious food, if you ever go be sure to try the raspberry bread. We share trips with the North Fenton Seniors with one to Penn’s Peak coming in May.

Four times a year we collect donations for Operation Support Our Troops, Toys for Tots at Christmas, and each month collect nonperishable foods for the food pantry at St Joseph’s Church in Sanitaria Springs, an independent pantry available to anyone in our area in need of food.

Please come and join us. The best bargain of the year for only $3.00 annually.
